About Basepoint Business Centres

Basepoint Business Centres provide a wide range of high quality workspaces to let, including serviced and managed offices, workshops, trade counters and studios. I particularly like them as they are not run like ordinary centres. As well as providing a range of flexible serviced and managed offices, virtual offices and serviced meeting rooms, they aim to build small to medium size business communities that add value to the areas they are in, rather than simply locate small businesses under one roof.

Each centre holds regular, free to attend, networking events and seminars to help raise awareness of business issues and to provide advice on key areas such as business planning, sales, marketing and PR.

I was attracted to working with Basepoint as they are wholly owned by a charity, The ACT Foundation, whose mission is to ‘ACT to enhance the quality of life for people in need’. Any profit from the Basepoint operation is used by the charity to further its charitable objectives within the communities that it serves. In addition, all Basepoint Business Centres provide financial support to a local charity as part of their own objective to help develop sustainable communities. This support is funded by The ACT Foundation from its reserves and not through revenue generated at the Centre.
